Description
The building known as Court is a Grade II listed vicarage, now a house, dating from around 1830. It is constructed of coursed slatestone rubble with a stucco front and features gabled slate roofs. The building has brick end stacks at the front and ridge stacks at the rear, which have diagonally-set brick flues with dentilled drip courses. The layout is a double-depth plan with a long rear wing. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window range. A flat-roofed 19th-century porch leads to a six-panelled door. The windows are early 19th-century two-light casements with Tudor arches and glazing bars, topped with flat rendered arches. While the rear and interior could not be inspected, it is noted that the central hall contains an early 19th-century staircase with stick balusters and a wreathed handrail.
