Description
This is a range of farm buildings located about 30 meters southwest of Hayne Farmhouse. The buildings run parallel to the road in front of the farmhouse and consist of a threshing barn over an open-fronted cartshed, along with an adjoining stable block. The stable block dates from the early 19th century, while the threshing barn and open-fronted cartshed are from the late 19th century.
The structures are built of stone with bitumen-painted rag slate roofs and feature red brick dressings on the late 19th-century range. The buildings are two storeys high, with entrances at first floor level from the farmyard. The six-bay asymmetrical late 19th-century range on the left has regular openings. The elevation facing the road includes five cart entrances on the left, supported by red brick piers and cambered arches, with an additional entrance to a storeroom on the right flanked by windows. The first floor features two loft loading doors and four windows. The smaller early 19th-century range on the right has two entrances on either side of a window, with two first-floor windows above.
These buildings are included for their group value with Hayne Farmhouse.
