Description
Holsworthy Viaduct is a railway viaduct that carries the Halwell to Holsworthy branch of the London and South Western Railway, built for the Devon and Cornwall Railway Company in 1879. It is constructed of masonry and features eight semicircular arches. The original parapet is said to have been destroyed and replaced by concrete coping. The viaduct is approximately 420 feet long and 80 feet high. This branch line opened on January 20, 1879, and closed on October 3, 1966.
