Description

This barn, likely dating from the early 19th century, stands approximately 16 metres north of Rollstone Farmhouse. It is constructed with a render over a cob and stone core, with 20th-century brick repairs to the rear wall, and has a gabled corrugated iron roof. The barn follows a 5-bay plan, originally featuring a central threshing floor. The entrance is defined by timber lintels over a central double opening, with a central loft window above. A 20th-century window is situated to the left, and a window has been blocked on the right side. Inside, the barn contains a 5-bay A-frame roof structure, each truss displaying pegged collars and a ridge purlin set within a crossed apex. The building is listed for its group value.
