Description
Higher Puncherdon is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, with a 19th-century addition. It has rendered cob walls and a gable-ended thatch roof, supported by two brick gable-end stacks. The building has a two-room plan with a central stair hall, which may have originally served as a through-passage. At the rear, there is a 19th-century outshut. The exterior is two storeys high and features a symmetrical three-window front. The first floor has early 20th-century three-light casements, while the ground floor has late 20th-century metal frame casements. A central 20th-century gabled porch with a stable-type door provides access. The interior has few original features, although some may be hidden.
