Description

Valleys End is a house located in Weare Giffard, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features colourwashed render over cob and stone, with a gabled thatch roof and a brick ridge stack, along with a 19th-century brick stack at the right end. The house has a three-unit plan, with a dairy outshut on the left side of the front. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window range. The central entrance is a 20th-century door, and the windows are late 19th and 20th-century two and three-light casements. Inside, the central room contains old joists and an open fireplace on the right, which has a cloam oven. The rest of the interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
