Description

Riverview is a house located in Weare Giffard, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed slatestone rubble, which is mostly rendered, and features a gabled thatch roof. There is a 19th-century brick stack on the left end that has a bread-oven projection. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The central entrance has a late 19th-century half-glazed plank door, and there are late 19th-century two-light casements. At the rear, there is a left wing built in yellow brick with a Welsh slate roof, added in the late 19th century. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
