Description
The front garden walls and gateway, located approximately 60 metres south of Winscott Barton Farmhouse, date from around 1850. They are constructed from local stone rubble, featuring red brick coping and sandstone ashlar dressings on the gate piers. The structure includes cast iron railings and a gate. The wall, which has a central gateway, runs along the front of the garden belonging to Winscott Barton Farmhouse, situated between the barn and the granary of the farm buildings. The central gateway features square section piers topped with low pyramid caps and retains its original double gates. The wall slopes down on each side and is topped with spear-headed railings supported by bulbous standards. This wall and gateway are part of a group with Winscott Barton Farmhouse and its traditional farm buildings.
