Description
The front garden walls, located approximately 4 metres south of Upcott Barton, are likely from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of uncoursed stone rubble topped with red-brick coping. The walls feature cast-iron gates, including a pedestrian gate with dog bars and dog rails, and a small horse-mounting gate to the right, also equipped with dog bars and dog rails, which is accessed by stone steps at the rear. The left-hand end of the front wall has a circular end pier, and the wall returns to adjoin the house. These walls enclose the front garden of Upcott Barton and are part of a complete farmstead group. The separate horse-mounting gate is a notable feature.
