Description
Riddlecombe Manor Farm is a farmhouse that dates from the early 17th century or earlier, with a 19th-century addition. It has rendered cob walls and a thatched roof with gable ends. There are brick stacks at both gable ends and a rear lateral stack. The building has a three-room and through passage plan, with the lower end on the left heated by a gable end fireplace and the hall heated by the rear lateral stack. The 19th-century wing projects from the right-hand end.
The exterior features two storeys and has an asymmetrical five-window front. The first floor has 20th-century two-light casements, while the ground floor has late 19th-century or early 20th-century eight-pane sash windows, except for the left and right sides. There is a slight projection to the left of center, with a 20th-century glazed porch in front of it. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey but is likely to contain interesting features such as ceiling beams, fireplaces, and possibly an early roof structure.
