Description

BROADWOODWIDGER BROADWOODWIDGER SX 48 NW 8/54 Squire memorial about 13m north - east of the north east corner of the chancel of the Church of St Nicholas GV II Bedstead memorial. Late C19. Signed "Miller of Lifton". Slate with iron cresting. Bedstead memorial commemorating Sophia Squire, died 1865. Slate inscription panel bolted to slate uprights terminating in pointed finials, with an iron cresting of arrow heads above the panel, which has a decorated border. An unusual type of memorial for the region.
