Description
This is a headstone dated 1804, located approximately 34 metres south-south-west of the tower of the Church of St Giles in the Wood. It commemorates Frances Squire and is made of slate. The upright, nowy-headed slab stands about 400 millimetres high. The front features an inscribed frame, and the head is adorned with a carved winged skull. The inscription includes italic lettering for the first line and Roman serif upper and lower case lettering for the rest, detailing the death of Frances Squire in 1804. This headstone has been repositioned to its current location.
