Description

This is an anonymous headstone located south of the chancel of the Church of St Giles. It is probably from the 18th century and made of slate. The headstone is an upright square-headed slab, standing approximately 450 millimetres high. The top features a carving of a skull, which is flanked by a skull and crossbones. The inscription is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. There is no date or name recorded on the headstone, only a poetic epitaph.
