Description
Hemmel and attached wall, located approximately 20 meters south of Thorne Widger Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed slatestone rubble and features a gabled Welsh slate roof. The front of the building has three 19th-century plank doors that lead to pens, which open onto a small yard. This yard is surrounded by a wall made of coursed slatestone rubble that is attached to the left corner of the building. Inside, the three pens are divided by two slate partitions set in oak frames. This structure is included for its group value.
