Description
Thornhill Head Methodist Chapel is a Methodist chapel built around 1850. It features colourwashed render over coursed slatestone rubble and has a gabled slate roof. The building is one storey high and has a two-window range. The windows are framed by semi-circular arches with keyed and painted architraves, showcasing Gothic-style glazing-bar casements with margin lights. To the right, there is a gabled porch that contains a mid-19th century six-panelled door with a Gothic-style fanlight. A similar window is located in the right gable end, and there are two additional similar windows at the rear. Inside, the chapel has a moulded plaster cornice and window architraves, as well as pitch-pine pews and a preaching desk.
