Former farmhouse. Probably early C18, remodelled in the early C19, accommodation extended into former agricultural buildings at the rear in the later C19. Colourwashed rendered sandstone; thatched roof with plain ridge gabled at ends: projecting left end stack with bread oven, right end stack, stack to former agricultural building. Plan: The main block is a single depth plan, 2 rooms wide with an entrance into a stair lobby with a wide stair; the right-hand room is larger than the left. The house has been extended into a range of agricultural buildings to the rear at right angles to the right-hand room providing service rooms. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 5 window front with a good thatched rustic porch to left of centre with a plank front door. Set of attractive 2-and 3-light C19 or earlier small pane timber casements. Interior: Both fireplaces rebuilt; exposed roughly-chamfered crossbeams to both ground floor rooms. Roof: Not inspected.
