Description
Woodpecker Cottage is a small house, believed to have been converted from a barn in the late 19th century. It features colourwashed rendered cob and stone rubble with a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the ends and has a stack at the right end. The building has a single depth plan and is two storeys high. The front is asymmetrical with four windows, and the thatch eaves are eyebrowed over two first-floor windows. There is a 20th-century front door and 20th-century casements at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. Woodpecker Cottage is included for its group value with Trelawn and Peacock Cottage, creating an attractive thatched group behind a new housing estate.
