Description

The Wayne chest tomb, located about 3 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Michael, is an early 19th-century chest tomb made of white freestone and local grey limestone. It features sunk panels of grey limestone and an oversailing lid. The inscription on the east end commemorates James Waye, who died in 1801.
