Description

The Whiteway chest tomb, located about 19 meters north of the east wall of the north aisle of the Church of St Michael, is a chest tomb dating from the late 19th century. It is made of freestone and features a hipped lid with corner balusters. An inscription on the side commemorates Daniel Whiteway, who died in 1861, along with other members of the Whiteway family.
