Description
This is a house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has walls constructed of roughcast, partly stone, and possibly some cob, covered by a slate roof. A brick chimney stack rises from the centre of the ridge, and a rendered stack with a red brick shaft is located on the wall facing the road, slightly off-centre to the left. The house is two storeys high, with an old single-storey lean-to on the left side and a 20th-century single-storey extension on the right. The west-facing front has six windows, with a doorway in the third bay from the right. A rectangular projection in the fourth bay from the right, level with the ridge stack, may have originally housed a staircase. The front facing the road has few windows. A rectangular turret, likely containing a staircase, abuts the projecting stack on the right. Windows on both fronts are 19th-century wood casements with small panes. The interior has not been inspected.
