Description

The lychgate to the Chapel of St John the Evangelist is a late 19th-century structure made of grey limestone with a tiled roof that is gabled at both ends. It features stone rubble walls and has curved timber struts that spring from corbels fixed to the walls, supporting the gabled timber roof. The lychgate includes a pair of timber gates, which are boarded below and have vertical timber above. It holds group value with the church.
