Description
Three ranges of farm buildings date from the 1830s and are likely contemporary with Newhouse Farmhouse. They are constructed of stone rubble and cob, featuring roofs made of corrugated iron, asbestos, and slate, with the front wall of the northeast range partly rebuilt in concrete block. The farmhouse faces into the farmyard. The northeast range is two stories tall with loft access from the rear, while the two-story east range is opposite the farmhouse, and the single-story west range is adjacent.
The east range has four round-headed doorways on the ground floor with brick arches, two loft loading doors with segmental brick arches, and a similar loft window. The single-story south range has a slate roof and a weatherboarded front. The rear elevation of the northeast range features four doors with timber doorframes and cambered lintels. The elevation facing the yard is partly weatherboarded and has been rebuilt in concrete block in the center. This group of buildings forms an impressive ensemble with the farmhouse.
