Description

The K6 telephone kiosk near Old Forge Cottage is a standard design constructed mainly of cast iron and glass, and it has a square shape. It is painted red overall and features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with applied crowns in the top panels instead of perforated ones. There are rectangular white display signs that read "TELEPHONE" beneath the shallow domed roof.

This kiosk appears to be reasonably intact and has been adapted internally for modern use, incorporating modern telecommunications equipment. It is centrally located in the village, opposite Old Bailey Farm, which is a Grade II listed building, and is close to other Grade II buildings including Rose Cottage, the Church House Inn, Carlton House, and Victoria Farm. The kiosk has a good visual relationship with these nearby structures.
