Description
Honeysuckle Cottage is a house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier. It may have once been part of a larger property adjoining number 3. The house is constructed of colourwashed rendered cob and stone, with a thatched roof and gabled ends. It has an internal front lateral stack with a brick shaft, and a left end stack. The front façade presents a near-symmetrical two-window arrangement, featuring a 20th-century half-glazed porch with a slated lean-to roof and a 20th-century front door. Windows are 2-light and 3-light 20th-century timber casements with glazing bars. The interior was not inspected during the original survey but is known to Teignbridge Planning Department to contain the remains of a decorated plaster ceiling with a wheel pattern visible in the roofspace, with the potential for other interesting features to survive.
