Description

This is a First World War memorial, which also includes an inscription for the Second World War, dating from around 1918. It is made of granite and features iron railings. The memorial consists of a granite cross set on granite steps, with low ornamental railings in front. The ironwork is signed by J. Toby from Torquay. The substantial main verticals are octagonal in shape and topped with peaked finials, dividing paired panels that include cast iron roundels with cross bracing. This memorial is prominently located in the village center and is enhanced by its attractive ironwork.
