Description
Cape Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed of cob and has a slate-hung finish on the left side, with a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. There is an external stack on the right side, and a right-hand range that has a slate roof, likely from the 19th or 20th century. The building has a two-unit plan with a later right wing.
The exterior features two storeys and a three-window range. The first-floor windows are early 19th-century timber-framed casements with three lights and leaded glass. The right-hand extension has 20th-century two and three-light casements. The front door is a 19th-century six-panel design, with glazing at the top. The interior has not been inspected.
