Description

A range of farm buildings dating to around 1840, situated to the south west of Tidwell Farmhouse. The buildings are constructed of stone rubble with low-pitched slate roofs and hipped ends. They form three sides of a yard, with Tidwell Farmhouse occupying the fourth side.

The northwest and southwest ranges are two storeys high, featuring shippen doorways on the ground floor and loft doorways and windows above, all with flat slate arches. A row of pigeon holes is located below the eaves on the northwest range.

The range along the southeast side of the road is single-storeyed, with a shippen at the south end and cart sheds at the north end. A projecting cartway, with a gable and segmental arch leading to the road and large double doors, is centrally positioned. The cartway has a hipped roof on its yard-facing side. The buildings are included on the list for their group value alongside Tidwell Farmhouse.
