Description
The lych gate located to the southeast of St Matthew Church dates from the mid to late 19th century. It features a half-hipped slate roof with gablets and overhanging eaves, which is supported by two stone walls that include buttresses with set-offs. At the center of the ridge, there is a wrought iron cross with wooden finials, and a pendent hangs beneath it. The roof structure underneath showcases ashlaring over the wall plates.
