Description
No. 47 Fore Street is a late 18th century house set back from the road with a forecourt. It has three storeys and two windows. The building features a hipped Welsh slate roof and a red brick front, accented by plain pilaster strips on the quoins and a parapet. There are painted plain stone bands at the floor levels. The windows are recessed sash types with gauged brick arches and glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a three-light quasi-Venetian window with a gauged brick arch and radial glazing. The entrance has a wooden doorcase with pilasters that support an entablature, along with panelled reveals, a patterned radial fanlight, and a raised and fielded panel door.
