Description

The building is a former Methodist chapel, dating to circa 1861. It became redundant in 1901 with the opening of a new Methodist Church and was later used as a cider store and warehouse. The chapel has four bays, with a splayed two-bay west end. It has a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. The walls are of coursed, squared Devonian limestone rubble with freestone and brick dressings, including buttresses. There are lancet windows, and an arched doorway featuring C13 columns and mouldings, with a boarded door and ornamental ironwork. A later loft door and hoist were added at the west end.
