The Totnes Cemetery Mortuary Chapel is a later 19th-century building designed in the Gothic style. It features three bays and is topped with a Welsh slate roof that has cored gables, a crested ridge, and a central base for an unfinished bell tower or spire. The chapel is constructed from snecked Devonian limestone ashlar and includes arched, traceried windows with hood moulds. There is also an arched doorway with moulded reveals.
