Description

The Unitarian Chapel, built around 1780, is a simple 18th-century Gothic chapel set back from the building line. It features a nave that is three bays long, with a chancel extension at the rear. The chapel has Gothic-headed windows that include a central mullion and diagonal leaded lights. The gabled end facing the street is made of ashlar and has a moulded string course at the eaves level. Originally, there was a two-light pointed arched panel in the gable beneath a plain coping. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The chapel is part of a group of listed buildings along High Street (South Side).
