Description
Number 25 on High Street is a building dating from 1781. It is a two-storey structure with an attic and features a four-window facade, likely made of painted stucco with painted stone dressings. The windows are sash style, set in cased frames with moulded architraves. The building has a moulded plinth and a small bracketed timber cornice at the eaves. Notably, there are slender attached columns at the corners. To the right side, there is an impressive doorcase with an open pedimented hood supported by enriched console brackets. The door itself has six fielded panels and is topped by a lofty square-shaped fanlight with a circular light inset. The building also features two pedimented dormers and is covered with old tiles. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on the south side of High Street.
