Description
32 High Street is a 2-storey plus attic building dating from 1781. It features a four-window facade made of stucco. The windows are sash types set in wide cased frames with plain reveals. On the left side of the first floor, there is an unusual oriel window that is wood-framed, with curved side lights and horizontal glazing bars. The central doorcase is notable, with a six-flush-panel door, a semi-circular fanlight, and "Doric" pilasters supporting a full entablature and triangular pediment. There is a plain pilaster at the right-hand quoin and a plinth at the base. The building shares its structure with No 34. The roof is old tiled and has two pedimented dormers with ovolo cornices. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 30 to 52 (even).
