Description

The English Presbyterian Chapel is a late 19th-century Gothic building constructed from grey snecked stone with bathstone dressings and slate roofs. It features a prominent three-stage tower with a stone spire located at the corner. The top stage of the tower has bell openings with three lights on each side, while the stage below contains lancet windows. On the ground floor facing Gloddaeth Street, there is a shallow gabled porch that leads to a Gothic doorway, and on Chapel Street, there is a two-light window.

The main body of the chapel includes a lantern topped with a slate spire. On the Gloddaeth Street side, there is a central gable with a cinquefoil window above two two-light windows. The façade is divided into two bays by buttresses, with two windows in each bay and convex corners. To the right, there is a square projecting bay featuring two paired windows. On the Chapel Street side, to the left of the tower, there is a gable with a large three-light window flanked by lancets, along with a Gothic arched doorway and paired windows on either side. To the left of this section, there is a three-window block with a buttressed doorway to the left, followed by the gable end of a hall or schoolroom that has a round window at the upper level and four windows in a lean-to block at ground floor level.

Inside, the chapel is a single open space with a ribbed ceiling, and stained glass can be found in the lobbies.
