Description

Totnes House is a villa dating from the mid-19th century. It is located on Station Road, Totnes. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window front facing north. It features a Welsh slate roof with coped gables. The front elevation is constructed of stucco and includes rusticated quoins, a cornice, a blocking course, and sill and impost strings. The ground floor has Corinthian pilasters supporting an entablature. Recessed, round-arched sash windows are present on the ground floor, with archivolts above. The first-floor windows also have round arches, incorporating keys. A prostyle portico with paired Corinthian columns supports an entablature. A round-arched doorway features imposts, an archivolt, a fanlight, and a half-glazed door.
