Description
The garden area wall, gate piers, and mounting block located immediately east of Foales Leigh date from the 18th century. The wall is constructed from slate rubble and features slate coping. The right end of the wall curves back towards the lower end of the house. At the center of the wall, there are a pair of square gate piers made of slate rubble, each topped with slate caps, and there is a simple wrought iron gate from the 19th century. To the left inside the wall, there is a mounting block with slate treads.
