Description

Orchard Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It’s constructed of roughly rendered stone rubble and cobs, with a thatched roof featuring gabled and half-hipped ends. The cottage has two storeys and originally had three or four windows. It now has 20th-century two- and three-light casement windows with glazing bars. A slate-roofed porch shelters the doorway in the north gable end. A rendered external chimney stack is on the north gable, and there is an internal stack at the south end.
