Description

This is a roadside preaching cross, probably from the medieval period. It is a small granite monolith that stands about 5 feet 6 inches above the ground. The stone is roughly hewn, and the arms of the cross are mutilated. Currently, it is freestanding in a field, although it has previously been used as a gate-post.
