Description

Blackaton Cross is a wayside cross, likely dating from the medieval period. It is made of roughly hewn granite. The cross head may be of medieval origin, while the shaft seems to be made from reused material and has a rectangular section with one angle chamfered. The shaft is set into a large granite boulder.
