Description

This chest tomb, located in the south-east corner of the churchyard of St Edwards Church, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is made of granite and features a carved armorial device on one end and one side, with an interlacing pattern on the opposite end. The tomb has a heavy moulded cornice lid and a moulded base. The lid also has a recess on the top, which may have originally held a brass inscription.
