SX 54 NE NEWTON AND NOSS MEMBLAND 9/138 Pool Mill Lodge

Lodge on the Revelstoke estate. Dated 1879. Probably by George Devey's office. Slate rubble. Welsh slate roof with gabled and half-hipped ends and overhanging eaves. T-shaped on plan. Two storeys. Scantle slate pentice hood on brackets at first floor level and over first floor window in gable. Casements with leaded panes and volute brick arches. Ground floor square bay window. Half-hipped dormer. Wooden porch in the angle with slate hipped roof. Large white brick chimney stack at centre. Reference: Country Life, April 29th, 1982, page 1236.
