Description
The former gas works on the Revelstoke estate, now used as a store, dates back to 1882 and is likely the work of George Devey's office. It is constructed of slate rubble with red brick dressings and features a poverty slate roof with half-hipped and gabled ends. The building has double doors and a four-light window facing the road, both adorned with segmental brick arches and half-hipped dormer roofs. At the east end of the ridge, there is a louvred ventilator that abuts a tall red brick chimney stack on the east gable end, which has a tablet displaying the initials ECB and the date 1882.
