II

Gate lodge to Membland Hall (demolished) on the former Revelstoke estate. Datestone 1889 with Lord Revelstoke's monogram. Probably by George Davey's office in a picturesque vernacular style. Slate rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with gabled, half-hipped and semi-conical ends. L-shaped on plan. Two storeys. Gabled to right with slate pentice hood over first floor window and wrought-iron weathervane above. Left-hand wing has semi-circular end with verandah canopy on brackets continued into-the angle to form a porch. Gabled dormers in semi-conical roof. Granite mullion windows with leaded panes.
