Description

This is a section of a cross located immediately south of All Saints Church, dating from around the 16th century. It features a granite octagonal chamfered shaft that is set into a later octagonal granite base. The shaft has only one pyramid step, with the others apparently cut off. One face of the shaft has a groove, which suggests it may have been intended as a doorway jamb, but it is said to have been used as a step in the south porch of the church.
