Description

Hope Thatch is a small house dating from the 18th century. It features rendered stone rubble walls and a thatched roof, which is gabled on the left side and hipped on the right. There is a rendered rubble stack at the left gable end with a brick shaft. The house has a two-room plan, with a heated room on the left. The exterior is two storeys high, displaying an asymmetrical front with two windows that are late 19th or early 20th century four-pane sashes. A part-glazed door from the 20th century is located at the centre. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
