Description
This is a barn and shippen range dating from the 18th century, located approximately 35 metres north of Ashleigh Barton Farmhouse. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a scantle slate roof with hipped and gabled ends. The shippen is currently clad in corrugated iron. The barn is situated at the west end and has a central cart entrance on the north side. There is a projecting porch on the south side, which has a flight of steps leading up to it, and it is flanked by lean-to implement sheds, one of which has an asbestos sheet roof. The long shippen range extends to the east and includes external steps leading to the loft. This building is included for its group value.
