Description
Dymond House is a wide-fronted house located at No 17 on Brownston Street in Modbury, dating from the late 18th century. The building is rendered and scribed to resemble ashlar, with a plain rendered plinth and a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and features two wide-set windows. The ground floor has a tripartite arrangement of sashes with a 4:12:4 configuration, while the first floor has twelve-pane sashes.
Access to the house is via four stone steps leading to a four-panel door from the 19th century, which is topped by a plain overlight. This door is sheltered by a cantilevered canopy with a moulded edge, supported by brackets and plain pilasters. There is a rendered stack on the left side of the building.
