Description

Hillside Cottage is a house in a row, possibly serving as the original service wing to No 19. It dates from the early 19th century, although it features later 19th-century window designs. The building has a smooth rendered exterior and a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has two windows, all of which are 4-pane sashes. On the ground floor, there is a wide elliptical opening with a narrow keystone, leading to a pair of plank doors, followed by a 6-panel 19th-century door on one step beneath a simple hood, and a sash window to the right. The first floor has a window above each door opening. There is a brick stack on the right side. This building is included for its group value.
