Description
This building is a farm complex that includes a stable, a cart entrance gateway, a lumber store, and a coal shed, located approximately 1 metre west of Coombeshead Farmhouse. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from unrendered stone rubble with slate roofs that have gable ends. The layout is U-shaped, featuring a central covered cart entrance flanked by two wings that project to the rear. The left wing contains lofted stables, while the right wing houses storage and coal sheds. The building is single-storey, with the stables having a loft. The cart entrance has double plank doors, and there is a loft door above the doorways that flank two windows on the outer face of the stables. Additionally, there is a lean-to structure to the right of the cart entrance, which includes a triangular owl-hole.
